Downbelow is host to groups of young travellers each year to explore beautiful Sabah, and the first adventure group are ready for the new PADI Open Water Diver course at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre!

Downbelow’s Marketing Director Joanne is both PADI Master Instructor and Go PRO advisor who oversees all itineraries of our Go PRO internship programs. Now the PADI Standards and Procedures have changed for the PADI Open Water Diver course, along with Go PRO advisor Alice (also Sabah Travel Centre Manager!), Joanne advises the group of 20-strong ‘Expedition Borneo’ program participants to complete their dive theory knowledge development requirements to qualify.

PADI Asia Pacific have offered our dive operations plenty of support to be fully prepared for teaching to the new standards. Just as we prepare our Danish adventurers’ with the latest educational materials, our Go PRO internship candidates also receive the most current editions they need for their professional diver training! Experienced Instructors of our island staff team will expect our interns to adhere to them when in an assistance-role; but of course they are always under the supervision of one of said experienced Instructors!

Get in touch with our Sabah Travel Centre, where our Go PRO advisors are based, to discuss a suitable Go PRO internship program for you to gain a professional scuba diving qualification in Sabah, Borneo!
