Briefing the story of PADI Standards!

Posted 17 Jul 2014

Briefing the student diver is most efficient when there’s a relevance for learning each skill and why in a particular order.

UK adventure groups from Camps International are camping at our Gaya Island beach house and learning the PADI Open Water Diver course.

Each in-water session is briefed on the organization of skills and in confined water dives, these skills will be introduced by the Instructor, the practiced and mastered by the student.

Students are inquisitive by nature and curiosity is necessary to broaden their knowledge. The Instructor Development Course (IDC) elaborates and counsels candidates the entire story of the PADI system of education and its PADI Standards.

In preparation for the Instructor Examination (IE), candidates are expected to question the knowledge content because there is no new dive theory to learn, or new dive skills. However, during the IDC would be the best time to question why, for example, a student must learn how to disconnect their low pressure inflator, because chances are a student diver will ask many questions to assist in their learning!

Learn how to teach diving with our Go PRO team of PADI Instructor Trainers at our exotic Gaya Island beach house paradise! Contact our Head Office to arrange one of our professional internship programs to include the IDC and start living your diving dream in Borneo!
