Young adventurers’ from Camps International UK care for the environment because their PADI ‘Pros’ do!

Group ‘Tarsier’, numbering 41 participants altogether, complete 4 nights of island camping at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island in the TAR marine park.

Learning why it’s important to care for the environment needs to delivered to younger minds in an inspiring method, and it’s always much more fulfilling for any age to learn in an active way. Downbelow’s team of PADI professionals supervise beach clean ups for each group to contribute their own efforts to eliminate marine debris in our local area. This practical experience supports the theory from their PADI Open Water Diver course. For example, understanding why buoyancy is a skill that needs to be mastered to protect the reef from damage, is one of the Project AWARE divers’ pledge to care for the marine environment. We are 100% AWARE at our island beach house – all diver qualifications include a donation to the Project AWARE movement!
