The PADI system of diver education encourages Divemasters to enrol on the Instructor Development Course (IDC), however a Divemaster can certify student divers in certain PADI courses and programs!

Of the most popular courses, the PADI Digital Underwater Photography Specialty and the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty, are either sides of the spectrum of dive disciplines; underwater photography being the creative of the two disciplines, and administering oxygen is focused on diver safety!

The two PADI Specialty Instructor courses must be conducted by a Course Director and the student diver must already be certified as a PADI Divemaster at least.

For prospective IDC candidates, such as Mike Jones who has just completed his PADI Divemaster course with his mentor IDC Staff Instructor Pablo, qualifying to teach these two PADI Specialties offers great experience to benefit instructional development during the IDC.

Mike will be travelling around the rest of our exotic island of Borneo, and has already started to seriously consider taking the next step to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor!

We have faith that Mike will be a very professional candidate of our IDC and set the example he conducted of himself during his 1-month Go PRO internship program to finish his PADI Divemaster!

Get more details on our successful Go PRO internship programs and we can integrate these PADI Specialty Instructor courses as part of your Divemaster or IDC dive training!
