Dive professionals will change their instructional methods to suit their student divers’ learning.

Student divers have different learning techniques, as should a PADI Instructor. Dedicated dive educator Timmy, demonstrates to his students Vicki and Wendy how to assemble dive gear before the pre-dive safety check for their PADI Scuba Diver certification. He does so by facing his gear and himself toward his students, talking through step-by-step the key points to the skill, and they follow along at the same time.

However, some student divers may need to watch the skill in its entirety and repeat the action from memory. An Instructor’s priority is his student divers’ safety, so whatever method is fine – as long as it doesn’t jeopardise any diver safety & meets PADI performance requirements.

Wendy and Vicki extended their stay an extra day at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre for an upgrade to qualify as PADI Open Water Divers – one of the best feelings as an Instructor is when your student continues their dive education.

The best way to live the diving dream as Timmy does, is to enrol on our next IDC to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor combined with one of our highly successful Go PRO internship programs!
