For the last couple of weeks, our full time and experienced team of PADI Instructors have been excited by the presence of science students from the University of Cardiff, who are learning to dive and practice their field study skills.
A bonus inclusion in our professional internship programs is the opportunity for our candidates to have first-hand experience with other areas of diving, such as for scientific purposes.
Students from the University of the South of Wales are frequent visitors to our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, and now students from the University of Cardiff too!
After our Go PRO interns assisted their assigned PADI Instructor conducting the PADI Open Water Diver course, they promptly assisted in guiding the newly qualified divers at various reefs in the marine park to record data for surveys.
It’s fascinating for all the professional divers involved because there’s depth and meaning to the dive activity; a collective purpose to enhance the protection and preservation of our underwater world, which is the reason why PADI professionals keep diving!
