Downbelow’s PADI Instructors adapt to standard changes.

Posted 02 Mar 2015

If it concerns diver safety, Downbelow’s PADI Instructors adapt to standard changes every time!

Using the facilities of our HQ’s multimedia classroom, our island staff team of PADI Instructors are invited by our resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann for an informal workshop on the additional skills.

Our Instructors are introducing the new PADI Open Water Diver course to all student divers enrolling on the entry-level course at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre.

Our Go PRO team, as well as our other Instructors, must be familiar with the conduct of the skills through and through for the benefit of our professional scuba diving internship candidates. Interns need to pay attention to the organisation and control of these skills when in an assistants’ role, because as a result of the changes, the PADI ReActivate (formerly PADI Scuba Review) is also affected.

There will be plenty of opportunities for our Go PRO interns to adapt to these changes through real diving experience during the conduct of the course for our 20-strong ‘Expedition Borneo’ adventure group!

Get in touch with a Go PRO advisor at our Sabah Travel Centre for more information on the PADI diver training council and becoming a professional on one of our internship programs catered just for you!
