Fostering independent divers!

Posted 02 Aug 2014

Gratification is a common feeling for PADI Instructors when, by the final dive of the PADI Open Water Diver course, their student divers’ are so independent and confident in their diving abilities!

The 6th group of UK-based Camps International adventurers’ is quick to learn the dive skills of the course, which are all demonstrated by our team of PADI Instructors at our Gaya Island PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre.

From the first day of the 3-day course, a PADI Instructor will explain the basics of scuba diving and the value of each skill with an emphasis on the divers’ need to master those skills for their own safety.

By the second day, a dive educator will find they may repeat some information, however the student diver will find the skills are related and easily perform the skills as a final assessment in the open water dives!

When conducting the Instructor Development Course (IDC) our Go PRO team of PADI Instructor Trainers, find this to be a similar experience for our candidates.

In the beginning, candidates of our Go PRO internship programs find their instructional role-play challenging because it’s a new skill. However, over time they will meet the performance requirements to become a confident and independent PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor!

Get in touch with our Head Office, where one of our members of staff will discuss a suitable Go PRO internship program for you to live the diving dream at our Gaya Island beach house!
