A student will ask their PADI Instructor everything about the underwater world, particularly the marine life.
By qualifying as an AWARE PADI Fish Identification Specialty Instructor you can give your student an impressive answer and inspire in them a passion for marine biology.
There are too many fish in the seas and oceans to learn every single species, but focusing on groups and families of fish will give your student an easy way to develop a natural interest in the many animals they will come across during their scuba diving experiences.
The prerequisite of the course is to be PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and once certified, for successful diver acquisition the new Specialty Instructor should build a thorough understanding of the marine life in their local area.
Your students’ awareness of identifying fish will increase along with their scuba diving skills to improve over time. As their instructor, you will require from your student to perform their underwater tasks whilst demonstrating care for the environment at all times.
In future, they will understand and support environmentally sound practices and choose dive operators like Downbelow who are active supporters of conservation efforts.
Employers view a Master Scuba Diver Trainer as a professional of a variety of interests and one who enjoys teaching their student divers to become proficient recreational divers.
At Downbelow, the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer is integrated into 1-month internship program. Within the month, every day will be an opportunity to develop instructional skills and build on training from Specialty Instructor courses.
All of us at Downbelow are passionate about the ocean and its marine life and we are always learning and sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm with our clients and student divers – you can too!
Anyone with a genuine interest in marine life, which all divers have, will enjoy teaching the PADI AWARE Fish Identification Specialty.
