It’s true, that diving recreationally is different to diving in a professional capacity as a dive educator, but many divers (experienced or novice) will ask themselves over, and over, ‘How do I know if I will love to teach SCUBA?’
Teaching others scuba diving (for many diving professionals) is simply sharing their own experiences in diving and building another divers’ confidence to dive SAFE!
Instructor Tim Tam is one of our Staff Instructors of the Go PRO team at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre, and teaches our ‘Try Dive’ program to 3 of our international guests. Michelle from Switzerland will be completing her PADI Open Water Diver course in 3-4 days, and Korean guests Lee Seung Yeoh and Hyun Bok Hee are participating in our very popular 1-day ‘Try Dive’ program.
Tim is one of our most experienced Instructors with several years of teaching, and when he started diving recreationally since his own ‘Try Dive’ experience program, it didn’t take him long to decide he wanted to teach others.
Our guests are lucky to have a local Sabahan like Tim as their Instructor, because not only do they learn about the marine biodiversity of the dive sites in TAR Marine Park, but they can learn a great deal about the endemic terrestrial environment of the islands too!
The also booked our adventure programs to visit Bilit Village near Sandakan on the eastern coast of Sabah for the chance to spot Orang Utan, hornbills and proboscis monkeys along the Kinabatangan River!
We encourage our Go PRO interns to experience as much as they can of Kota Kinabalu and Sabah, because the rich history, culture, tradition and nature is like nowhere else in the world…and they receive discount as a student of our professional internship programs!
Contact our Sabah Travel Centre for our Go PRO advisors to create a suitable itinerary for your professional scuba diving career, as well as discover Sabah!
