Marine biology is a fascinating subject that many a PADI Instructor have a natural passion to teach in their professional careers!
Resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann is definitely an experienced PADI Instructor who is passionate about marine biology and its importance to marine conservation! Richard continues to teach all levels of PADI diving courses and programs, and Sarah Jane and Joey are two of our Sabah Travel Centre experts are excited to gain the knowledge of his years of experience!
Go PRO interns of our professional scuba diving programs share in this fascination and will continue their education to learn more about marine biodiversity. Many of our PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) candidates qualify as PADI Fish Identification Specialty Instructors because of our local environments’ diversity of marine life in the TAR marine park!
It’s also a very fulfilling aspect of the dive lifestyle to assist our visiting groups of university students in their marine biology field trip and share our own experienced observations of the local area.
Go PRO interns are encouraged to join the professional divers of our island staff team, to assist in the organisation of the university students’ underwater activities. Together, intern and supervising Instructor, guide the students to different coral reefs for them to conduct their surveys for data collection.
Get in touch with our HQ to discuss with our Go PRO advisors on an internship program, which include the opportunity to contribute to marine conservation as a PADI professional!
