A medical questionnaire is necessary for diver safety!
Along, one of the dedicated PADI Instructors at our PADI 5 STAR IDC Dive Centre in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park discusses with his PADI Discover Scuba Diving participants the importance of answering honestly on the medical questionnaire in their brochure.
It is the duty of the PADI professional to explain to their student divers, that any known underlying medical conditions must be checked by a dive physician to assess whether it is serious enough that they are not ‘fit to dive’.
If in the middle of a dive training course, a student were hindered from continuing for medical reasons, when returning to pursue their qualification, medical approval is necessary for the PADI Instructors’ student records.
This is the same for all our Go PRO internship candidates! Before any in-water activities, for professional-level diving, candidates must be declared ‘fit to dive’.
When contacting our Kota Kinabalu HQ, one of our Go PRO advisors will advise where you can get a medical in KK city centre.
