Our ‘Work for a Career’ scheme is to invite positive societal change, by giving our local community an opportunity of employment, experience of working in an industry as exciting as scuba diving and learning the benefits of protecting our natural environment!
Bonnie, one of our ‘Work for a Career’ PADI Divemaster Trainees, has recently received his PADI Open Water Diver certification card, yet this will be only the first step towards his ultimate goal of qualifying as a PADI Divemaster!
The ‘Work for a Career’ scheme is a 1-year local Go PRO internship program and is extensive in duration compared to the international counterpart, and there is no difference in dive training, of course!
Bonnie and his peers, both local and international, will have their PADI courses conducted alongside our other clients who are at the same level of dive education. It’s much more fun and the local interns get more experience interacting with people from different walks of life too, and improve their command of the English language.
Bonnie has already experienced so much, especially when joining the last months’ net removal dive in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Experiencing the physical contribution to conservation is so fulfilling and inspiring, Bonnie will surely be a part of the next volunteer program at our Gaya Island beach house!
For more information on our Go PRO internship programs, contact us at our Head Office. A member of our staff will create an itinerary to suit your individual needs to Go PRO!
