PADI Pros learn their instructional craft to become inspiring members of society to eliminate marine debris!
During the young adventurers’ summer holidays, they visit our ‘Land Below The Wind’ to explore the very best attractions of Kota Kinabalu and Sabah through various adventure activities, and all the while learning something of value.
During their island camping experience at our beach house, the campers take advantage of the opportunity to learn how to dive and qualify as a PADI Open Water Diver. They are also encouraged to participate in kayaking, snorkelling and jungle trekking to see more of the primary rainforest, mangrove forests and the shallow coral reef sites; just to marvel at nature’s beauty!
South East Asian islands are subject to monsoon season during the summer months, which causes incorrectly disposed litter to enter into the marine ecosystem due to strong wind and rain.
Our Instructor team have a duty to inspire enthusiasm in our young adventurers’ to care for the environment. To rally their spirits to physically contribute to the Project AWARE mission to rid of marine debris, we arrange a beach clean up each morning and/or afternoon to collect as much as possible, and the simple volunteering does wonders for their self-esteem! Our Go PRO interns find the same when they are involved in the conservation activities too!
For more details on the marine conservation activities our Go PRO internship candidates can experience at our beach house in Kota Kinabalu, contact our Go PRO advisors!
