Teaching surface and underwater skills.

Posted 13 Jul 2014

Teaching a skill on the surface or underwater, there are unique teaching approaches, but the outcome must be that student divers understand what is expected of them.

Our Go PRO team of PADI Instructor Trainers offers their expertise in the conduct of delivering teaching presentations during the in-water practice sessions of the Instructor Development Course (IDC).

Resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann heads up the Go PRO team at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre based on Gaya Island. In front of the beach house is a calm lagoon, in which we conduct all of our entry-level scuba diving courses, including the IDC, because of its varying depths to complete the performance requirements of confined water and open water.

Developing the IDC candidates’ awareness of their environment is crucial for adhering to the PADI standards of dive skills, even surface skills.

Our Go PRO internship program to complete the IDC is a 1-month itinerary, in which, Richard and our Go PRO team will dedicate themselves entirely to your professional dive training for you to live your diving dream in Borneo!
